BuyPlanes ("we", "us") operates the BuyPlanes mobile app and website, a marketplace for buying and selling aircraft. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account information — the email address you sign in with, and your display name.
Listings and content — aircraft details, photos, video, and descriptions you post, and messages you send to other users.
Usage and device data — searches, saved listings, app interactions, device type, and diagnostic/crash data used to keep the app reliable.
Approximate location — only if you use radius/near-me search, to show relevant listings. We don't track precise background location.

We do not collect or store full payment card numbers. Payments are processed by our payment providers.

How we use it

To operate the marketplace — publish listings, run search, deliver messages and notifications.
To process paid listings and other purchases through our payment providers.
To keep BuyPlanes safe — detect fraud, review reported listings, and enforce our Terms.
To improve the product and fix problems.

How we share it

We share information only with service providers that help us run BuyPlanes, under contract and only as needed:

Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
Payment processors (e.g. the app stores / RevenueCat / Stripe) — to take payments.
Analytics and error monitoring — to measure and improve reliability.

Content you choose to publish — your listings and public profile — is visible to other users. We don't sell your personal information.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Account → Delete account. Deletion permanently removes your account, your listings, and associated personal data, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal, tax, or fraud-prevention obligations. You can also email support@buyplanes.com to request deletion.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you of material incidents where required.

Children

BuyPlanes is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
